Arrivals & Departures
For overnight accommodation guests, access to Sutton Hall is available from 12 noon on your arrival date. On your departure date we require you to vacate the property no later than 12 noon.
For full day guests, access to Sutton Hall is available from 07:00 am until no later than 23:30. For HALF DAY guests, your arrival and departure times will be agreed on a booking by booking basis.
Your access to the grounds of Sutton Hall will be via a key pad at the main entrance gates. Entry to the house is via a lockbox adjacent to the front door. Access codes to both gates and lockbox will be sent to you via SMS twenty-four hours in advance of your stay. Access codes are regularly changed.
We are happy to arrange a personal concierge to welcome you, please indicate this preference at the initial booking stage.
We will ensure that Sutton Hall, it’s outbuildings and grounds are prepared to the highest of standards, please ensure you leave Sutton Hall in as similar standard as to which you found it.
Charges & Deposits
All relevant charges and deposits are set out in the bookings confirmation document that we require you to sign before your stay is confirmed. Once this document is signed then it becomes a binding contract and you will be liable for any charges set out.

By Train
Norwich is served by mainline train routes to London, the Midlands and North (via Ely). A train from London takes approximately two hours.
Sutton is a small village, and it does not have its own train station. However, there are train links from Norwich in nearby towns. The nearest train stations to Sutton are North Walsham and Wroxham, both are approximately 10 miles away. We can arrange taxi’s from either Norwich mainline station or either North Walsham or Wroxham. The cost of this will be added to your booking fee.
By Bus

By Air
Norwich is served by a regional airport with internal direct flights to and from Aberdeen, Exeter and Jersey. International connections can be taken from Amsterdam there are daily flights to Amsterdam from Norwich. There are many European destinations serviced by flights from Norwich. Norwich also has a thriving private jet terminal at it’s airport, guests wishing to use this service are advised that a taxi transfer to Sutton Hall will take approximately thirty minutes.
Emergency Contact
You will be provided with an emergency contact number for use during your stay. Please use this number sparingly and only in emergency situations.
All information to assist your stay will be in a guest guide that you will be able to access electronically on arrival.

We are able to offer our guests an exceptional range of experiences that you, your family, friends or colleagues can enjoy in the comfort and confines of Sutton Hall. These experiences are presented to you by some of the regions finest producers, chefs, artisans and entrepreneurs. A selection of these are on our EXPERIENCES page on this site. You will be asked at the first stage of booking if you are interested in any of our exclusive experiences. Any experience booked requires full confirmation and full payment at least 21 days before your arrival date.
Furry Friends
Sutton Hall is a pet friendly venue and we will do our very best to ensure your furry friends are made to feel as welcome as you are. There is a small, per pet, surcharge that is set out in your booking contract. We ask that you treat Sutton Hall with respect and ensure that your pets are clean whenever they enter the property and refrain from sitting on the furniture and beds. Bins will be provided to use to clear up after your pets. You are responsible for the safety and well-being of your pets during your stay, whilst areas of our boundaries have fencing and hedgerows, our grounds are not pet secure. The nearest veterinary surgery is in the town of Stalham, two miles to the North of Sutton Hall.
Green Credentials
Sutton Hall is set within twenty-two acres of Norfolk countryside and as such our guests are encouraged to follow environmental best practice. There will be recycling and food waste bins available and we encourage their use. We would encourage guests to use energy sparingly and help our carbon neutral credentials by turning lights off when not in rooms, regulating the use of heat in rooms not used and if you are not planning on using the hot tub and sauna during your stay to switch them off.
At present there are no electrical car charging points at Sutton Hall (we are planning to install some in 2024). The nearest charge points are at the Tesco’s supermarket in Stalham (two miles way).
Please respect the flora, fauna and wildlife that we are lucky to have at Sutton Hall. There is a rich and diverse eco-system and we are committed to sustaining and enhancing it.
On Arrival
On arrival (for overnight accommodation guests) the house will be warm, cosy and homely with all amenities such as AGA oven, sauna and hot tub ready to use. There will be milk in the fridge as well as complimentary tea, coffee and hot chocolate. You will have complimentary use of our coffee machine throughout your stay.
There will be an ample supply of logs, fire briquettes and lighters to use in the various open fires and log burners during your stay.
All rooms will have freshly laundered bed linen and towels, spare pillows will be available in each room. You will be asked during your booking stage if you require bed linen replaced during your stay.
Complimentary toiletries will be provided in each bathroom to see you through the first couple of days of your stay.
